Security Reviews - Multiple Sites
Our client is a national Property Manager with a significant portfolio across the inner metropolitan area and downtown of Melbourne Australia. The client had been experiencing security issues at a number of sites including graffiti attacks, vandalism, stolen vehicles, unauthorised access and theft from buildings. The client engaged Technology and Risk Management (Australia) Pty Ltd to undertake a Security Review at a nominated test site that had experienced a particularly high number of issues.


Technology and Risk Management (Australia) Pty Ltd Security Review resulted in a number of recommendations. These were implemented by the client who subsequently experienced a significant reduction in those problems stated as well as with the associated costs previously spent on damage control and rectification.


Technology and Risk Management (Australia) Pty Ltd then offered the client a substantial reduction in the total fees for other Security Reviews if we were engaged to undertake work at a number of sites at the same time.


Challenge

	Perform Security Reviews at several locations and make realistic and practical recommendations.
	Ensure that the recommendations were sounds and would reduce crime, resultant damage to buildings and associated costs while increasing safety and security for occupants and general public.
	Perform the work in such a way that efficiencies were gained that were passed on to the client in the form of reduced overall fees.

Solution

	By carefully planning the process of the Security Reviews we were able to maximise efficiency in the site-related functions of the Security Reviews.
	Since the sites were all of a similar nature it was possible to develop a "master" plan and strategy for the security of all sites. Once the master plan and strategy was established only relatively minor changes and allowances were necessary to cater for any special conditions or circumstances at each site.

Results

	The client was able to have Security Reviews completed at a number of sites in a timely fashion.
	The client implemented the recommendations with a resultant dramatic decrease in crime, resultant damage to buildings and associated costs while increasing safety and security for occupants and general public.
	We were able to reduce our total fee by approximately 40% by capitalising on the efficiencies gained by efficient planning and undertaking the work as one package.
